The IBEST Genomics Resources Core provides biomedical researchers at the University of Idaho (and external researchers) access to the technology, experience, and expertise in molecular biology methods and bioinformatics needed to acquire, analyze, and visualize data generated from high throughput technologies used in genomics research. We offer a wide variety of services and capabilities including: next-generation sequencing with both Roche 454 pyrosequencing and Illumina, targeted re-sequencing, Microarray services, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis for genotyping, and high-throughput sample preparation. The Genomics Resources Core implements an innovative approach to Core Facility management: the Interdisciplinary Triangle of Collaboration.
