The TOAC is a fee-for-service cost center at the University of Washington. Its primary purpose is to make sophisticated instrumentation and analytical expertise available to researchers. We are focused on analyses assessing environmental or personal exposures to toxic chemicals. We have a broad range of equipment for organic, gravimetrics and inorganic analyses. Instruments are available to investigators who are either knowledgeable in their operation or who have been trained by the TOAC staff. Time of use will be charged based on our current hourly instrument rate. In addition, TOAC staff can be hired for instrument operation or for training at our current hourly rate for personnel. Clients are generally responsible for providing their own columns and consumables (e.g. solvents & vials). We do have some chromatography columns (GC & HPLC) available for trial use assuming that the assay does not damage the columns.
