13 Jan UW Medicine COVERED Registry
The UW Medicine Diabetes Institute is the proud home of the COVERED Registry. COVERED stands for Community of Volunteers Engaged in Research to End Diabetes. The goal of this patient registry is to connect people interested in diabetes care with researchers studying diabetes and other related disorders. By joining together, we can speed progress toward developing better treatments and a cure!
What do you do as a COVERED volunteer? Tell us about yourself! Provide us with information regarding your health by filling out our health intake survey. This will allow us to contact you about studies that you may be eligible to participate in. Also, participate in research! COVERED volunteers can choose to be contacted about and enroll in UW studies investigating diabetes and other related disorders. Your contact information will not be shared with any third parties and you will only be contacted by COVERED personnel in regard to diabetes research. All study participation is voluntary, and you can opt out of participation or contact at any time.
We welcome all community members who are interested in diabetes and are at least 18 years of age. People living with or without diabetes (type 1 or 2) are encouraged to join! If you are interested in joining, visit the COVERED webpage on the UWMDI website at https://uwmdi.org/covered-registry/ to fill out the COVERED Eligibility Survey. Feel free to contact us at covered@uw.edu or 206-616-6858 if you have any questions or concerns.
