25 Oct Perception of Speech Amid Competing Background Noise
We are conducting a study to explore how people understand speech in different listening environments. The session will take about 1.5 hours, and participants will be compensated at $15 per hour. If needed, we will also cover parking costs.
The study will begin with a hearing and vision test. Afterward, participants will sit at a computer while their eye movements are tracked. During the session, they will watch videos, listen to audio clips, and repeat back what they hear.
This research aims to improve our understanding of how people process speech, especially in challenging conditions like background noise. Your participation will provide valuable insights into hearing, speech, and language processing.

Age 18 or older
English as their first language
Normal hearing (as confirmed during the hearing test)
