02 Mar Essential Tremor study
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of botulinum toxin injections to the upper limb muscles for essential tremor.
In the first part of the study, only one arm will be injected with either botulinum toxin or placebo and then followed up for 6 months. After, six months both arms will be injected with botulinum toxin and followed up for 3 months. A total of eleven visits will be needed over 9 months.
Participant Eligibility
Are you suffering from essential tremor in both arms?
We are looking for females and male subjects, 18 years and older, to participate in an essential tremor study.
You will be given injection treatments with a drug (active substance Botulinumtoxin A) if you have visible tremor at wrist level in both arms.
You will be invited to come to the study site for up to 11 visits. The total study duration is 36 weeks plus up to 3 weeks screening period. Ask your doctor if they think you might be eligible.
You will be given complimentary treatment from experienced doctors.
