If interested in this study, please contact the study email bridge-study@uw.edu to schedule a phone screen (about 15-20 minutes).

You will attend a 2-hour event on Thursday 4/3/2025 at 4:30-6:30 pm in Mount Baker neighborhood in Seattle. At the event, adult caregivers will participate in a focus group and kids will taste a sample study menu. Families will receive a $50 US Bank gift card for participation.

Focus Group: In a semi-structured interview adults will be asked questions related to
feeding studies in children. These will include questions about attitudes about research
participation, child eating habits and benefits and barriers to families when participating in
research. The interview will be about 60 minutes and may include other families. It will be
audio recorded.

Taste Test: We will ask your child to taste different foods that are provided by the study.
We will ask your child to provide feedback via questionnaires. These foods will be
prepared by dietitians at the UW Nutrition Research Kitchen.

Participant Eligibility

Family with one adult caregiver, child aged 9-11
No serious food allergies in the child
Able to attend event on 4/3/25 at 4:30 – 6:30 pm in Mount Baker neighborhood
