02 Feb Chronic low back pain and fibromyalgia metabolomics
The purpose of the study is to investigate the metabolic profiles of people with chronic low back pain and fibromyalgia.
We are looking for individuals with chronic low back pain.
Study participants will fill out a questionnaire about their medical history and demographic information before the sampling visit. At the Center for Pain Relief at UW Medical Center-Roosevelt, we will collect a blood and urine sample in addition to external sensory testing.
The questionnaire and sampling visit should take a total of 45 minutes. Participants will receive a $75 gift card for completing the questionnaire and study visit.
Participant Eligibility
Qualifications:
– at least 3 months of low back pain
– no more than 2 additional areas of pain
– at least 18 years of age
– be able to provide informed consent to participate in the study or provide accurate data
– speak/write English
– no diagnosis of cancer or undergoing treatment in the last 2 years (except skin cancers)
– not pregnant
