Research Coordinator as Negotiator: Resolving Problems and Building Relationships

Coordinators often navigate tricky situations and negotiate with stakeholders, from research oversight offices to patients. In this quarter’s CRES event, Karen Adams, Regulatory Specialist at ITHS, will offer a fresh take on how to facilitate shared goals and build trusted relationships in research coordination. Attendees will break into small groups and apply interpersonal communication skills and fundamental negotiation principles to problem solve challenging case studies.

By attending this event, you will:

  • Understand conflict and negotiation in research coordination
  • Have a working knowledge of strategies for successful negotiation
  • Assess tough situations and apply negotiation tools

This event is applicable to intermediate-advanced Research Coordinators who work in a health sciences research environment.
