Dissemination & Implementation Toolkit for TL1 Programs: Introduction
The University of Washington Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) developed a Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) module for the ITHS’ TL1 Pre-doctoral Training Program. This toolkit provides guidance to other Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) hubs interested in adopting, adapting and integrating this module into their TL1 programs.
Watch a pre-recorded PowerPoint introduction to the program.
Program Framework
This program is composed of two distinct parts: 1) Interactive Workshops and 2) Experiential Learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program was implemented virtually, using Zoom Video Communications.
Dissemination and Implementation Competencies
The D&I training module was designed to help TL1 scholars achieve the following D&I science competencies.
Describe the role of Dissemination and Implementation Science (D&I Science) in translational research
Apply D&I principles across the translational research stages
Suggested Timeline
This is the timeline proposed for delivering the training to the ITHS TL1 trainees. Other programs may adapt or modify this timeline to meet their needs.
