26 Jul Legacy SCCA OnCore Users – SecureAuth to Azure Single Sign-on Update
There are upcoming changes to single sign-on for legacy SCCA applications, including OnCore CTMS.
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) has been working on a project to simplify user logins for legacy SCCA applications and transition from SecureAuth to Azure AD Single Sign-On. This will change the way users login to some applications requiring Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The go-live for transition has been moved to August 21st.
The CTMS Program Office is working with IAM to transition OnCore users with accounts established with username@seattlecca.org credentials. The CTMS Team will be reaching out to Legacy SCCA OnCore users during their account transition.
Impacts to Legacy SCCA OnCore Users:
- What is changing? The OnCore login page will have two login options: Fred Hutch and UW Medicine. Legacy SCCA staff will log into OnCore via the Fred Hutch option with their username@fredhutch.org email. Staff will also be able to utilize the My Apps portal (www.myapps.microsoft.com) to access the OnCore App.
- What is NOT changing? Applications owned by UW e.g., Epic, will not be included. Users will continue using their UW Net ID credentials. Internally designed and customized applications might also require users to login with their previous credentials.
- Why is this changing? Unifying the SSO and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process will provide a consistent experience for all users of Fred Hutch-owned applications. It will also provide standardization for onboarding of new applications.
- When will this change happen? SecureAuth will be decommissioned after all Fred Hutch-owned applications are transitioned, including OnCore CTMS. The decommission is planned for mid-July of this year.
