India Ornelas, PhD, MPH

Dr. Ornelas has a PhD in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MPH from the University of Washington, and an AB in Health and Society from Brown University. She was a postdoctoral fellow in the Biobehavioral Cancer Prevention Training and Control Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and University of Washington.

Her research focuses on how social and cultural factors influence health, as well as developing interventions to address racial/ethnic health disparities.

Dr. Ornelas’ interests include cancer prevention and control, community-based participatory research, social determinants of health.
