Pavel Kruchek, MBA, CCRP, is the senior director of the Clinical Trials Office. As an academic healthcare administrator for many years and a trained industry analyst, Pavel has been successful in establishing, optimizing and managing effective and efficient clinical trial operations at multiple academic medical centers. Pavel has dedicated his efforts to forming centralized clinical research infrastructure impacting hundreds of clinical trials and research studies. He has set up operational structures and financial models that help accelerate scientific progress and bring new advances in therapeutic applications to bedside.
At the University of Washington, Pavel established the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) and continues to expand and optimize its operations by consolidating decentralized clinical trial functions under the CTO structure, which boosted overall efficiency and compliance. Under his direction, the CTO team implemented a series of clinical trial start-up improvements resulting in significant reduction in overall start-up timelines, and specifically, central office review times. His leadership and subject matter expertise have been instrumental in successful design, implementation, and operational efforts of the multi-institutional clinical trial management system (CTMS).
Pavel earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He also received Bachelor degrees in Economics from the University of Utah and International Management from the Far-Eastern Federal University in Russia. Pavel is a Certified Clinical Research Professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates and has been a guest speaker and presenter at many national and international events dedicated to professional development in clinical research.
