University of Washington’s Institute of Translational Health Sciences is hosting John McGinnis from the University of Pennsylvania through the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Visiting Scholars Program on March 2nd at 12pm PST.
Dr. McGinnis’s talk is titled: The lung microbiome after lung transplantation.
This program is designed to connect individuals with institutional KL2 awards from outside the UW with established UW faculty in their field as they consider next steps in their career. The goal is that these connections will persist beyond the visit and that this program will foster exchange of ideas and collaboration among different CTSAs.
About the Speaker
John McGinniss, MD is a KL2-funded scholar through the Institute of Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. His research leverages translational methods and computational approaches to understand host-microbiome interactions in the lung and the relation to acute and chronic lung diseases.
