COVID-19 data for research purposes is in high demand and navigating all the additional requirements around the data, determining how to get access to it, and many other questions can be overwhelming. “We needed to provide a solution to this issue, and we did by creating the new COVID Research Self-Service Help Tool,” shared Melissa Habrat, UW Director of Research IT.
The new COVID Research Self-Service Help Tool has answers to the most frequently asked questions around COVID-19 data for research purposes as well as important information on topics including: honest broker reviews, data use agreements, and how to get access to approved COVID-19 research data sets and more. Users are also able to download a copy of the answers they receive as well as provide feedback on any topics or questions they think are missing. If the tool does not address a user’s questions fully, the user may submit a help request ticket through the webpage to quickly receive an answer from a Research IT team member.
