When initially designing a REDCap project, you must define the exact number of forms or events for each record. However, there are situations where you may not know up front how many repetitions you would need for any given form. Consider, for example, adverse events forms. REDCap introduced the customization of repeatable forms to allow users to make any form repeatable on the fly to each individual record.

In the following example, we want to make the “Adverse Event” form in the month 1 event.
